Physics Degree

Science, Technology, Engineering, & Math Bachelor’s Degree Programs

Physics is the most fundamental of the physical sciences and involves the basic principles that govern the workings of the universe—from atoms to galaxies. The understanding of nature and the problem-solving abilities that physics majors develop serve them well in any technical field. If you want to help solve the world's problems, then a physics degree is where it's at!

Why study physics at BVU?

In the Lab

Work in state-of-the-art facilities, like the Robotics Lab, with cutting-edge equipment, like a parallel computer for space research and 3D printer.

Individualized Attention

Work one-on-one and in groups with expert professors. All advanced physics courses are delivered in a flipped format, which is an alternative model to the traditional “lecture style” of teaching.

Research

Dive in to a high-quality research project to grow your problem solving and analytical skills.

DR. SHAWN STONE, BVU PROFESSOR

Dr. Stone has been invited to be part of a grant out of NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt, Md., in which he will contribute code for the Planetary Data Archiving, Restoration, and Tools (PDART) program. He will help calculate and verify the look direction of the Galileo spacecraft’s Energetic Particle Detector during the spacecraft’s Jovian moon encounters.

Transfer to BVU
