College President waving

I am pleased to welcome you to the University which I unequivocally believe in, and which so many of us call home.

BVU’s ability to preserve, as well as enhance, its traditions by articulating a riveting vision for the future is shared by faculty, staff, students, and leadership, which is why I am so proud to work here. With the support of my colleagues and the Board of Trustees, I feel that we can horizontally create and implement a comprehensive plan for BVU’s future that engages the broader campus community and energizes external audiences. Together we can set outcome benchmarks to navigate our future and gauge our success.

My ultimate aim is to be an engaged and active president, so if you haven’t already, I encourage you to visit Storm Lake and the campus where so many inspirational things happen. I would love to meet you!

Joshua D. Merchant, Ph.D.
