- Master of Science in Education - Clinical Mental Health Counseling
With just the right mix of online coursework, weekly live video classes, and a four-day, in-person summer residency, BVU’s flexible two-year online master’s program provides students with the skills necessary to become effective clinical mental health counselors. As the first program of its size to gain CACREP accreditation in Iowa, graduates with a master’s in clinical mental health counseling pursue a variety of positions at mental health agencies, college campuses, or in private practice.

The master’s in organizational leadership provides the skills and knowledge necessary to effectively lead people in an ever-changing work environment and can be completed in as few as 1.5 years. The online Master of Education – Teacher Leadership, Curriculum, and Instruction program provides four tracks designed for working teachers seeking to advance their career in the classroom. This online special education master’s degree is intended to advance the skills of practicing professionals. Students combine science, theory, and hands-on field and classroom experience while building a professional network of their own. Our teacher-mentors have the real-life experience necessary to provide the special education knowledge required in Iowa classrooms today.

While most of our graduate programs are offered completely online, we offer a unique online learning experience for our counseling degrees. These programs meet one evening each week through Zoom, accompanied by online coursework and a four-day summer residency on the Storm Lake campus.
