Education for Service Scholarships

BVU awards 10 full-tuition, four-year scholarships for eligible students from Buena Vista County, Iowa. Award-winning students will serve as Iowa College AmeriCorps volunteers in BV County communities to build on valuable personal, leadership, and professional skills.

Tuition rate: $451 per credit hour

In addition to the tuition charge, we also include an allowance for living expenses (including travel) and books in a student's expected cost of attendance.

BVU awards up to $40,000 in scholarships annually across all BVU sites through the Phi Theta Kappa scholarship. To be eligible, applicants must be a member in good standing of the Phi Theta Kappa International Honor Society and must have graduated with an associate's degree.
