Moving In

WELCOME TO CAMPUS, BEAVERS!

If you have questions about building locations when arriving on campus, please click here to view the campus map: https://www.bvu.edu/about/campus-map.

Note: Please do not bring pets on move-in day to the residence halls unless it’s an approved ESA or Service Animal.

Check-In

Residence Life will communicate specific dates and times via email for students to select their arrival time. The check-in process will begin in the Harold Walter Siebens Forum. Once your checklist is complete, you will receive your keys and may proceed to move into your residence hall.

Unpack and Decorate Your Space

•    Break down all trash and dispose of it in the appropriate outdoor dumpsters.
•    All university-provided furniture must remain in your room for the duration of the academic year
•    When decorating your space, please be mindful that certain items like Command strips, adhesives, or duct tape can damage walls and may lead to dorm damage charges.

Prepare for Life on Campus

As you prepare for your residence hall experience, please review the following recommendations.

Clothing

Storage space is limited, so plan accordingly. Most campus settings are informal; however, you should also plan for special events, recreational activities, and changing weather conditions.

Bed and Bath Linen

•    Pillow, pillowcases, and Twin XL sheets
•    Mattress Pad
•    Blankets/bedspread
•    Towels and washcloths

Toiletries

Toiletries are available locally; however, bringing an initial supply is recommended for convenience during move-in week.

Laundry Supplies

Since the cost to use washers and dryers are included in your housing fees, coins and cards are not needed to run laundry machines in BVU residence halls.

Washers and dryers are available in each residence hall, any and all problems should be reported directly to the laundry service provider CSC Service Works (https://www.cscsw.com/).
