VT Industries Boosts Employees, Strengthens Communities Through BVU Strategic Partnership

Collaboration allows for employees of VT Industries, as well as eligible family members of full-time employees, to receive grant funding to lower the cost of education at BVU.

VT Industries Inc., and Buena Vista University (BVU) have formed a Strategic Partnership, joining forces to better serve employees, their families, and the communities they help strengthen.

This collaboration allows for employees of VT Industries, as well as eligible family members of full-time employees, to receive grant funding to lower the overall cost of education while enrolled in classes at BVU’s Storm Lake campus. Partner grant funding also lowers the cost per credit hour for students enrolled in BVU’s convenient online/hybrid undergraduate programs or the organizational leadership graduate program.

BVU professors and staff are also available for training programs, workshops, and more should officials with VT Industries seek those services and expertise.

“We are very excited to see the impact of this partnership as it serves to fortify a regional leader in BVU while also helping to strengthen the future of our employees and their family members, the very people who make VT successful.”

“A Strategic Partnership with BVU is a great opportunity for VT Industries as we can offer our employees and their family members savings on tuition, allowing them greater access to a BVU education,” says VT Industries President and CEO Doug Clausen, who also serves as a member of the BVU Board of Trustees. “We are very excited to see the impact of this partnership as it serves to fortify a regional leader in BVU while also helping to strengthen the future of our employees and their family members, the very people who make VT successful.”

“BVU offered a great mix of hands-on learning, internship experience, and in-class instruction from dedicated professors,” says Ryan Miller, a BVU graduate who began his VT Industries career 25 years ago and now serves as Director of Operations based in Rome, Ga. “The Strategic Partnership represents a win-win arrangement for both VT and BVU as we work toward our shared goals of seeing regions across the country as well as one another succeed and prosper.”

“At BVU, we are committed to serving communities throughout the Midwest and around the world,” says BVU Director of Strategic Partnerships Laura Todd. “Our collaboration with a premier manufacturer and community leader like VT Industries will only serve to better all of us and our communities in the future.”
