Theatre to Present "A Christmas Carol" Radio Play
Buena Vista University Theatre will be presenting a radio play of "A Christmas Carol" by Charles Dickens, airing on campus radio station KBVU. The production is the result of a collaboration between the theatre, digital media and music production and technology programs.
Buena Vista University Theatre will be presenting a radio play of "A Christmas Carol" by Charles Dickens, adapted for radio by Dr. Bethany Larson. It will air on KBVU: The Edge, FM 97.5 in three parts on Dec. 7, 8 and 9 at 7 p.m., and then again, in full, on Christmas Eve at 7 p.m.
BVU's "A Christmas Carol" is produced and directed by Dr. Andrea Frantz, associate professor of digital media, and Dr. Bethany Larson, associate professor of theatre, with sound design by Matt Tudor.
The production is the result of a collaboration between the theatre, digital media and music production and technology programs. Using the talents of students, faculty, staff and children of BVU faculty, the characters and events of Dickens' classic Christmas story of the haunting of Ebenezer Scrooge come to life via a richly imagined and produced radio production that delivers the message of Christmas love and compassion to area listeners.
