Senior Class Campaign Bestows First Leadership Award

The 2018 Senior Class created the Senior Campaign Leadership Award and designated their gifts to a fund to support it. The award recognizes students who take leadership roles and positively impact BVU and the community through leading events and encouraging inclusion.

Recipients of the first Senior Campaign Leadership Award were announced at the Christmas Dinner in December. Each received $1,000 to apply towards leadership opportunities. The student recipients are:

  • Lincoln Rock, a sophomore business and health & wellness major
  • Amanda Miley, a senior biology major
  • Kayla Sweet, a senior art & graphic design major

The award recognizes students who take leadership roles and positively impact BVU and the community through leading events and encouraging inclusion. Criteria includes that candidates: 

  • Should have a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher.
  • Must have at least one semester remaining at BVU – candidates can be any grade level.
  • Must be in good standing with the university.
  • Need to be part of a campus organization.
  • Should show leadership and organizational skills by creating opportunities to get students involved in activities around campus and the community.
