Robin Wissink Named Vice President for Advancement Operations at Buena Vista University
Wissink brings over 24 years of experience in fundraising and donor relations to her new role.
Buena Vista University (BVU) is pleased to announce the appointment of Robin Wissink as the new Vice President for Advancement Operations. With over 24 years of experience in fundraising and donor relations, Wissink brings a wealth of expertise in major gifts, planned giving, and strategic philanthropy to this leadership role.
Robin has been a dedicated member of the BVU community for many years, previously serving as Executive Director of Development. Throughout her career, she has successfully led fundraising initiatives, securing transformational six- and seven-figure gifts that have directly contributed to institutional growth and student success.
“Robin has been a passionate advocate for BVU and a driving force behind many of our successful fundraising efforts,” said Buena Vista University President Brian A. Robin’s professional background includes leadership roles at Des Moines University and Buena Vista University, where she managed major donor portfolios, developed comprehensive stewardship programs, and played a key role in securing significant philanthropic investments. Her expertise extends to corporate and foundation relations, volunteer development, and university strategic planning.
In her new role, Wissink will lead BVU’s advancement operations, focusing on donor engagement, fundraising strategy, and enhancing the university’s philanthropic impact. She will continue cultivating meaningful partnerships that support BVU’s vision of unlocking each student’s greatest potential and driving community growth.
