New Faculty Members Join BVU staff

BVU welcomes thirteen new faculty members for the 2021-22 academic year.

Thirteen faculty members have joined Buena Vista University (BVU) for the start of the 2021-22 academic year. Their fields of expertise range from animation and graphic design to biomedical science to sport business. Six new professors are affiliated with BVU’s School of Liberal Arts, while four teach in BVU’s Siebens School of Business.

“We are thrilled to have attracted and hired incredibly talented and dynamic new faculty members,” says Dr. Dixee Bartholomew-Feis, Dean of the School of Liberal Arts. “Each of our new colleagues brings fresh perspectives and talents to their major areas and to the entire University community.”

BVU, which celebrates the inauguration of its 19th President, Dr. Brian Lenzmeier, on Oct. 8, was rated 21 spots ahead of any other Iowa institution in the 2021 U.S. News & World Report Best Value Schools Among Regional Universities in the Midwest. The University also realized an enrollment gain of 96 students, or five percent this year, to a total enrollment of 1,959 students.
