BVU's University Cable Network Recognized by College Media Association
BVU media students and organization were recognized at the College Media Association Organizational Pinnacle Awards. The awards honor college media organizations and individual work from colleges and universities across the nation.
Buena Vista University media students and organization were recognized at the College Media Association (CMA) Organizational Pinnacle Awards presented at the CMA Fall National College Media Convention which took place in Austin, Texas.
The Pinnacle Awards honor the best college media organizations and individual work and are open to student newspapers, television and radio stations, websites, yearbooks and magazines from colleges and universities across the nation.
BVU's UCN Studios – University Cable Network earned first place for Best TV Entertainment Program for the TV special, "Gnarly Charlie's," which is a children's program that teaches kids the basic skills in sports, sportsmanship and rules of the game.
The students recognized for best individual work on this production were Morgan McGrew, a junior corporate communication major from Ankeny; Gibson Berns, a sophomore digital media major from Garnavillo; and Chelsea Gubbels, Class of 2015.
Other finalists in the TV Entertainment Program category included Vanderbilt University and Berry College.
