BVU Students Play Role in MSNBC Broadcast

The students helped facilitate an interview with Storm Lake Times Editor Art Cullen. The live remote was conducted from the television studio in Lage Communications Center.

Buena Vista University students London VanHorbeck, Morgan Krull, and Dalton Walker joined Jerry Johnson, assistant professor of digital media, in executing a live remote for MSNBC from Lage Communications Center on campus Friday. Their efforts allowed Stephanie Ruhl, of “MSNBC’s Live with Stephanie Ruhl,” to interview with Storm Lake Times Editor Art Cullen, Pulitzer Prize winner.

Cullen joined fellow Pulitzer Prize winner Bret Stephens, among others, in a pair of segments detailing how Iowans are helping to shape national political discourse in advance of the Feb. 3, 2020 “first in the nation” Iowa Caucuses.
