BVU Students Give Back to Those in Need
The food packaging effort was part of the Universityäó»s ongoing celebration of Black History Month, which has included a variety of diverse events and programs for campus community engagement.
On Feb. 13, Buena Vista University students packaged approximately 1,082 bags of nonperishable food – which equals approximately 4,323 meals – for families in the Storm Lake area. The volunteer effort was part of the University’s celebration of Black History Month and was sponsored by the Office of Civic Engagement in collaboration with the Black Student Union.
