BVU, Prelude Behavioral Services join in Strategic Partnership
BVU partners with Prelude Behavioral Services to provide educational benefits to employees throughout central and eastern Iowa.
Buena Vista University (BVU) and Prelude Behavioral Services have joined ties as Strategic Partners, working together to support their communities through education.
This partnership allows for employees of Prelude Behavioral Services, as well as eligible family members of full-time employees, to receive grant funding to lower the overall cost of education while enrolled in classes at BVU’s Storm Lake campus. Partner grant funding also lowers the cost per credit hour for students enrolled in BVU’s convenient online/hybrid undergraduate programs or the organizational leadership graduate program.
BVU professors and staff are also available for training programs, workshops, and more should officials with Prelude Behavioral Services seek those services and expertise.

Founded in 1969 with locations in Des Moines and Iowa City, Prelude Behavioral Services is a nonprofit organization that has more than 50 years of experience working throughout central and eastern Iowa. Prelude Behavioral Services specializes in behavior health, substance abuse treatment, problem gambling, and mental health services. The organization also offers a variety of levels of care including prevention services, detoxification services, and outpatient and residential treatment.
