BVU, Omni Dental Centre Align in Strategic Partnership
Omni Dental Centre seeks to support its employees through a Strategic Partnership with BVU, providing discounted tuition and other educational benefits.
Buena Vista University (BVU) and Omni Dental Centre have formed a Strategic Partnership, joining forces and strengthening the communities they serve.
This partnership allows for employees of Omni Dental Centre, as well as eligible family members of full-time employees, to receive grant funding to lower the overall cost of education while enrolled in classes at BVU’s Storm Lake campus. Partner grant funding also lowers the cost per credit hour for students enrolled in BVU’s convenient online/hybrid undergraduate programs or the organizational leadership graduate program.

“This is going to be a great opportunity for our employees to further their education,” says Omni Dental Centre Director of People Operations Corrie Ryan. “They are always looking for opportunities to improve themselves, whether that’s taking a course or looking at how they can expand their job functions, so this is a really exciting opportunity.”
Omni Dental Centre provides comprehensive and convenient dental care in three locations: Council Bluffs, Carter Lake, and Omaha. With a team of 40 employees, Omni Dental has spent the past 40 years expanding its list of new technology and treatment options to include general, cosmetic, and restorative dental services.
The company’s professionals also volunteer at many charitable events, including Give Kids a Smile—an annual event Omni Dental Centre hosts to provide free oral health care to local children who face barriers to receiving dental care.
BVU has long enjoyed strong educational ties in and around Council Bluffs, home to Iowa Western Community College, a campus that has collaborated with BVU for decades. Students enrolled in a program through Iowa Western can seamlessly transfer their credits toward their bachelor’s degree at BVU. Students receive personalized support including admissions and enrollment counseling and academic advising right in Council Bluffs through BVU’s office on the Iowa Western campus.
