BVU, Murray Community School District connect through Strategic Partnership
By partnering with Buena Vista University, the Murray Community School District offers growth opportunities for its employees and their eligible family members.
Buena Vista University (BVU) and the Murray Community School District (Murray CSD) have connected as Strategic Partnerships, aligning their efforts to strengthen their communities through education.
This partnership allows for employees of Murray CSD, as well as eligible family members of full-time employees, to receive grant funding to lower the overall cost of education while enrolled in classes at BVU’s Storm Lake campus. Partner grant funding also lowers the cost per credit hour for students enrolled in BVU’s convenient online/hybrid undergraduate programs or the organizational leadership graduate program.
BVU professors and staff are also available for training programs, workshops, and more should officials with Murray CSD seek those services and expertise.

Murray CSD serves approximately 285 students in grades PK-12. Located in Murray, the district has more than 50 employees. The district’s elementary school was one of six schools in Iowa to be honored as an Exemplary High Performing National Blue Ribbon School in 2020.
