BVU Hall of Famer Earns Softball Coaching Honors

The former BVU two-time All-American and four-time academic All-American coached her Fort Dodge High School team to a fifth-place finish at the Iowa State Softball Tournament.

The National Federation of State High School Associations named Andi (Royster) Adams '99 as Central Region Coach of the Year for Softball. The Central Region covers Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, Michigan and Wisconsin.

Adams, a member of the BVU Athletics Hall of Fame, was also tabbed Iowa Coach of the Year in the Central Region.

The former BVU two-time All-American and four-time academic All-American, also earned Iowa Class 4A West District Coach of the Year accolades for directing her Fort Dodge High School team to a fifth-place finish at the Iowa State Softball Tournament. It marked the fifth time Adams has won the award. This summer also marked the ninth time Adams has coached a team into the state tournament.
