BVU, Grain & Protein Technologies Establish Strategic Partnership
Through a collaboration with Buena Vista University, Grain & Protein Technologies offers educational benefits to its employees and their eligible family members.
Buena Vista University (BVU) and Grain & Protein Technologies have entered a Strategic Partnership that provides new opportunities that mutually benefit both organizations as they strive to strengthen the communities they serve.
This partnership allows the employees of Grain & Protein Technologies and its leading brands GSI®, Cumberland®, AP®, Tecno®, and Cimbria®, as well as eligible family members of full-time employees, to receive grant funding to lower the overall cost per credit hour while enrolled in BVU’s convenient online undergraduate programs or the organizational leadership graduate program. Partner grant funding also lowers the cost of education for students enrolled in classes at BVU’s Storm Lake campus.
Grain & Protein Technologies delivers innovative grain storage, seed processing, and protein production systems for poultry, swine, and egg producers in over 100 countries. The company helps farmers and agribusinesses work smarter, faster, and more profitably. With about 1,200 U.S. employees and 3,200 globally, Grain & Protein Technologies is a trusted partner in advancing global agriculture.
“Attending BVU provided me with the opportunity to develop skills and a knowledge base that helped me both personally and professionally. I completed courses both on campus and online, where I made lifelong relationships through both avenues,” says Trevor Harson, a 2012 BVU graduate and Operations Manager at AP in Sioux City. “I am proud to say that I am a part of the BVU legacy.”
“We’re excited to partner with Grain & Protein Technologies to provide employees with affordable access to higher education,” says Laura Todd, Director of Strategic Partnerships at BVU. “This program is about more than degrees, it’s about investing in people, their goals, and the future of the agricultural workforce.”
