BVU, Biodyne USA Align in Strategic Partnership

Through a Strategic Partnership with Buena Vista University, Biodyne now offers educational benefits to its employees and their eligible family members.

Buena Vista University (BVU) and Biodyne USA have forged an agreement as Strategic Partners to improve their communities and the people they serve.

This partnership allows for employees of Biodyne USA, as well as eligible family members of full-time employees, to receive grant funding to lower the overall cost of education while enrolled in classes at BVU’s Storm Lake campus. Partner grant funding also lowers the cost per credit hour for students enrolled in BVU’s convenient online/hybrid undergraduate programs or the organizational leadership graduate program.

BVU professors and staff are also available for training programs, workshops, and more should officials with Biodyne USA seek those services and expertise.

“We are excited about our partnership with Buena Vista University as adding another benefit for our employees and their families will help us attract and retain quality people who are committed to their future and want the best for their community,” says Biodyne USA Owner Tim Wier. “At Biodyne USA, we highly value education and look forward to supporting our employees as they further their education.”

Biodyne USA, which employs 12, has been family owned and operated for 16 years. The Indiana-based company promotes the usefulness of the biological and sustainable approach to solving problems related to the environment. Weir notes that Biodyne USA is an “innovative business intent on harnessing naturally occurring beneficial microbes along with complimentary technologies for use in various environmental applications.”

The company’s location in Fort Wayne, Ind., blends well with BVU’s successful online mode of delivering instruction, a practice within which BVU has been at the forefront for years, and allows individuals to complete their coursework anywhere while maintaining their employment.

“Buena Vista University is thrilled to partner with Biodyne USA, an organization that outlined its four core values of efficiency, accountability, self-motivation, and adaptability,” says BVU Director of Strategic Partnerships Laura Todd. “Joining with Biodyne USA in offering more accessible pathways to higher education can aid us all as we strive to incorporate and build upon those values in strengthening one another and our communities.”
