BVU, BAT Logistics Connect Through Strategic Partnership
Through a collaboration with Buena Vista University, BAT Logistics offers educational benefits to its employees and their eligible family members.
Buena Vista University (BVU) and BAT Logistics have aligned as Strategic Partners, providing new opportunities to transform the communities both entities serve.
This partnership allows for employees of BAT Logistics, as well as eligible family members of full-time employees, to receive grant funding to lower the overall cost per credit hour while enrolled in BVU’s convenient online undergraduate programs or the organizational leadership graduate program. Partner grant funding also lowers the cost of education for students enrolled in classes at BVU’s Storm Lake campus.
“We are very excited to offer this opportunity to our employees and their families. There are so many different course options, the sky is really the limit,” says Stephanie Reeves, Executive Assistant.
BAT Logistics is headquartered in Council Bluffs, IA, with a small number of remote team members based in Atlanta, GA. The company employs over 40 people. They provide transportation arrangement solutions to the shipping community. Their core strengths lie in arranging full truckload services in dry, refrigerated, and rail commodities using key national carriers both regionally and cross-country.
BVU has long enjoyed strong educational ties in and around Council Bluffs, home to Iowa Western Community College, a campus that has collaborated with BVU for decades. Students enrolled in a program through Iowa Western can seamlessly transfer their credits toward their bachelor’s degree at BVU. Students receive personalized support, including admissions and enrollment counseling and academic advising, right in Council Bluffs through BVU’s office on the Iowa Western campus.
“We’re thrilled to launch this new partnership with BAT Logistics,” said Laura Todd, BVU’s Director of Strategic Partnerships. “This marks their first educational employee benefit, and we’re proud to help provide this opportunity to their team. We look forward to seeing how this partnership enhances the lives of BAT Logistics employees and their families. We believe our undergraduate programs and master’s in organizational leadership will help them unlock their full potential, leading to better lives and stronger communities.
