BVU Announces Dr. Joel Baldomir as Director of Organizational Leadership
Dr. Baldomir joins BVU with 20 years of higher education experience.
Buena Vista University is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Joel Baldomir as the new Director of Organizational Leadership for the Master of Arts in Organizational Leadership program. Dr. Baldomir brings over 20 years of experience in higher education, most recently serving as Faculty Director of Professional Studies at Marist University in Poughkeepsie, New York for the past 13 years.
Prior to his career in higher education, Dr. Baldomir built a diverse professional background across multiple fields, including playwriting, news writing, market research, and customer service. His expertise in organizational leadership and communication fuels his commitment to equipping graduate students with the skills and knowledge necessary to become effective leaders across various industries.

I understand the value of each student's unique experiences, interests, and needs in shaping the learning environment,” stated Dr. Baldomir. “My dedication lies in creating supportive and engaging classrooms that empower students to achieve their full potential.”
Beyond his academic work, Dr. Baldomir is passionate about volunteering with local nonprofit organizations. He was drawn to BVU’s "Education for Service" motto and long-standing commitment to community engagement.
Along with Dr. Baldomir's appointment, the Master of Arts in Organizational Leadership program has expanded its offerings. Students now have the option to specialize in one of four distinct concentrations, each designed to equip leaders with the tools needed to excel in their field: Organizational Leadership, Human Resources Leadership, Healthcare Leadership, and Sport Leadership.
This fully online program is designed to equip students with critical leadership skills for an evolving work environment, allowing them to complete their degree in just 1.5 years.
