BVU Aims to Strengthen Iowa Workers, Communities Through Strategic Partnerships

Businesses can now partner with BVU for discounted educational opportunities for their employees and their families through BVU's Strategic Partnerships division. The goal is to strengthen Iowa businesses and communities through high-quality, affordable education.

Buena Vista University has unveiled a Strategic Partnerships initiative designed to grow organizations and their employees and families, both locally and nationally, through educational grants and programs aimed at increasing educational opportunities and improving business results.

BVU’s Strategic Partnerships division will offer partner organization employees, spouses, and dependents grant funding for tuition costs to students attending courses on the Storm Lake campus. Additionally, discounts per credit hour will be offered to students taking BVU’s convenient online/hybrid undergraduate instruction or the Organizational Leadership graduate program courses.

“Our goal is to provide our partners with educational resources they can use as we help grow their organizations which, in turn, strengthens Iowa communities, its people, and our region.”

Katie Smith, Director of Strategic Partnerships

Additionally, BVU professors and staff members are offering training programs, workshops, and more for organizations that participate in the Strategic Partnerships initiative.

“The agreement doesn’t cost our partners anything to enter into it,” says Katie Smith, BVU Director of Strategic Partnerships. “The agreement includes opportunities for organizations to offer educational benefits and BVU grants to their employees, spouses, and dependents at no cost to the organization. Our goal is to provide our partners with educational resources they can use as we help grow their organizations which, in turn, strengthens Iowa communities, its people, and our region. We want to do all we can to keep BVU instruction readily available and top-of-mind for the employees and families of the companies that serve as the backbone for our Iowa communities.”

“We are thrilled to be at the beginning stages of a Strategic Partnerships effort that promises to boost employees and the companies they serve,” Smith concludes. “The emergence of this program could not have come at a better time.”
