Buena Vista University Names New Vice President for Finance and Administration

BVU has announced that Suzette Radke has been selected as vice president for finance and administration and will assume her new role July 1, 2016. Her career at BVU spans 25 years, including roles as an accountant, accounting manager and controller.

Buena Vista University has announced that Suzette Radke has been selected as vice president for finance and administration and will assume her new role July 1, 2016.

Radke's career at BVU spans 25 years, including roles as an accountant, accounting manager and controller before assuming her current position as director of business services and controller in 2009. Since 2012, she has also served as an adjunct faculty member in BVU's Harold Walter Siebens School of Business, teaching Governmental and Not-For-Profit Accounting.

"Suzette's career experience, knowledge and dedication to BVU will serve her well in this position. She is superbly qualified, highly intelligent and possesses an astonishing work ethic. We look forward to having her leadership and service in this new role," said BVU President Fred Moore.

She holds a bachelor's degree in leisure services and physical education from Wartburg College, a bachelor's degree in accounting from BVU and a master's degree in professional accountancy from University of South Dakota, Vermillion. Radke has also received a certificate in advanced education leadership from the Harvard Graduate School of Education, Institute for Management and Leadership in Education.

"I have worked toward the goal of becoming vice president since I started at BVU 25 years ago, and I am incredibly excited to take on this role and bring my knowledge, enthusiasm and love for BV to this position," said Radke. "I look forward to seeing how I can help each area on campus meet their needs and to being involved with the students. I am dedicated to helping the University tackle existing challenges in higher education, such as how to approach the areas of enrollment and demographics and struggles students encounter with the economics of obtaining a degree."

Radke also manages the accounting for a family farm and is actively involved in the community as a member of the Baseball/Softball Improvement Commission, a Buena Vista Regional Medical Center Foundation board member, and an advisory board member for Heritage Bank NA.
