2015 Beaver Athletic Hall of Fame Inductees Announced

The annual Buena Vista University Athletic Hall of Fame induction ceremony will take place on Saturday, October 24. At that time, four new members will join the illustrious group of BVU Athletic Hall of Famers.

The annual Buena Vista University Athletic Hall of Fame induction ceremony will take place on Saturday, October 24 during halftime of the Beavers' football game versus the University of Dubuque.  At that time, four new members will be inducted.

Barry Anderson SL'88 was a four-year letterwinner for the men's basketball team from 1984-88.  He was a Second Team All-Iowa Conference selection and a DIII All-American.  He scored more than 1,200 points in his career and grabbed nearly 800 career rebounds.  His 277 rebounds in a season is the fifth-best total all-time.

Chris Behrens SL'94 was a four-time letterwinner in football while also competing one season in track and field.  On the gridiron, he was a three-time All-Iowa Conference selection (1991-93) and was a Second Team All-American in 1992.  To this day, he remains the program's all-time sacks leader and is tops on the list in career blocked kicks.

Heidi (Kerian) Knaak SL'95 was a four-year standout on the softball team while playing with BVU Hall of Fame coach, Marge Willadsen, and also lettered three times in volleyball.  Most of her success came on the diamond where she was a three-time All-Iowa Conference selection (1992-94) and a two-time All-American (Third Team in 1993 & Second Team in 1994).  She was a member of two Iowa Conference championship teams (1992 & 1994) and played on the national runner-up squad in 1992 and also the fifth-place team in 1994.  She remains ranked in the top-10 in several offensive categories for BVU.

Michelle (Tesdahl) Mann SL'96 lettered four times in softball and was a key player on three Iowa Conference championship teams (1994-96).  She was a four-time All-IIAC selection (First Team in 1994 & 1996; Second Team in 1993 & 1995).  As a sophomore in 1994, she was also selected as a Second Team All-American before landing Third Team accolades a year later.  The Beavers were regional champions in 1994 and went on to place fifth at the National Tournament).
