Five Buena Vista University faculty members recently visited Rapa Nui, also known as Easter Island, as part of the McCorkle Fellowship program. During the 12-day trip, they visited various destinations and landmarks across the island's 63 square miles.

Four students have been selected to participate in the annual Okoboji Entrepreneurial Institute at the Iowa Lakeside Laboratory on West Lake Okoboji.

BV Buddies-Teammates has received a grant from Alliant Energy Foundation that will be used to support their activities in the community.

Sixteen Buena Vista University students and the BVU Student Senate were honored at the 2014 Governor's Volunteer Award ceremonies held in June on the BVU campus.

Buena Vista University Graduate & Professional Studies is launching a Bachelor of Applied Science degree with a major in applied management. The degree is specifically designed for those holding an Associate of Applied Science degree.

A group representing BVU's computer science program aided the Young Women's Resource Center in Des Moines, during an event that provides free programming and software development to non-profit organizations.

Buena Vista University held its annual Faculty and Staff Recognition Dinner on May 23 to recognize and award achievements for employees of the university.
