Buena Vista University is vitally interested in making your college academic and personal experience meaningful and successful. Your health and wellness are key components of that experience.

It is the University's policy that all full time students (12 credit hours or more) and/or any student residing on campus, regardless of full or part time status, be covered by health insurance.

All students must designate their intent to either enroll in the school insurance plan or waive this coverage and provide proof of equivalent coverage via the online system prior to the first date of classes. Information on how to enroll in or waive coverage will be sent with your student billing statement. Please watch for it and follow the instructions promptly to avoid being charged for this insurance coverage. Please consider your coverage options carefully. While a parent's employee plan may provide adequate benefits close to home, HMO or PPO restrictions may limit coverage for students out of state or your local area.
