Jen Stockdall
- Director of Enrollment & Student Success
- Online Programs
Jen Stockdall is the Director of Enrollment & Student Success for BVU’s Online Programs and has been at BVU since 2014. Coming to BVU, she was excited to begin working in a career in higher education and had goals of helping students throughout their academic journey at BVU.
Stockdall has a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology from California State University, Sacramento, and a Master of Science degree in psychology from Walden University. This has assisted her in her positions at BVU as it helped her learn how to better read and connect with people. With her current position, Stockdall hopes to bring awareness to students who may not have the option to leave home. “Students can earn their degree without uprooting their lives. They can maintain a job and a family life while completing coursework,” says Stockdall. Not only does Stockdall enjoy working with students, but she enjoys working with staff that share her same passions.
Stockdall is not an Iowa native, but her husband is. She moved from California to Iowa in November 2012 and quickly realized she could make Iowa her home. Currently, she lives in Ottumwa with her husband and their dogs. They love to travel anywhere, but especially to see her family in California. When she moved to Iowa, she was amazed by some of the differences; the kindness of Iowans, no traffic, and a slower pace of life–though she does wish for some warmer weather without the humidity!
