Barb Tornow

Barb Tornow is an Education Coordinator/Advisor for Buena Vista University’s Online Programs. Tornow has been serving BVU since 2017, and she loves helping students in any way she can. 

Tornow has experience assisting students with creating academic plans, preparing for interviews, and obtaining teaching licensures. Previously, Tornow was an administrator and teacher in a PK-12 setting and worked at Ottumwa Job Corps where she assisted individuals with technical training and job obtainment. She now enjoys helping students discover their passions while working hard to earn a degree from BVU. 

“Helping students build a better future through education is very rewarding,” says Tornow. “One of my favorite parts about working with students is when they tell me they have just received their first teaching job offer!” When she is not helping students through their academic journey at BVU, she enjoys spending time with her family.
