Instructor Wes Brennan

A 2019 graduate of BVU, Professor Wes Brennan returned to his alma mater in 2025 after a six-year career in the sports industry. Prior to returning to BVU, Professor Brennan most recently served as the Director of Events at the Tyson Events Center in Sioux City, Iowa, where he was responsible for the execution of all athletic events held in the facility.

Before making his return to Iowa, Professor Brennan traveled the country working in athletics. Upon graduating BVU, he served as a graduate assistant in the athletic department at Missouri Western State in St. Joseph, Missouri. While at Missouri Western, he was also highly involved in the football operations of the Kansas City Chiefs training camp - held annually on the school's campus. He also served as an events service representative for the Chiefs, assisting with and fan service in Arrowhead Stadium. After his time in Missouri, he served as the Coordinator of Athletic Event Operations for all 17 sports at Ferris State University in Michigan. While at Ferris State, he was a part of the Bulldogs’ NCAA Division II Football National Championship run in 2021. In 2022, Professor Brennan was named as the Director of Athletic Facilities/Events at the University of North Alabama, an NCAA Division I school in Florence, Alabama. He held this position until he returned to Iowa and was responsible for all capital projects and game operations for all 14 North Alabama Athletics teams.

While at BVU, he was a member of the football team and a two-time academic all-conference selection as a defensive lineman. In his spare time, you will find him working outside, running, grilling, and fishing and kayaking on Storm Lake. You will also find him cheering on his Notre Dame Fighting Irish, San Francisco 49ers, Nashville Predators, Minnesota Twins, and Buena Vista Beavers.

He and his wife, Tara — also a BVU alum — have one daughter, Adalyn, and one dog, Holtz.
