Peter Carlson

• Artist-in-Residence, Spring 2021 Semester

Peter Carlson is a 3D Artist and Graphic Designer. He earned his bachelor's degree at Iowa State University, where he majored in Graphic Design with a focus on game design. 

Peter works in a virtual reality lab, creating simulations to research and test road conditions, active shooters drills, fire safety, and even conditions on the International Space Station. His role is to create and manage these projects—from modeling, animating, and texturing to scene management, code architecture, and managing programmers.

In his free time, he creates games with his friend and programmer Jared Cook. They have completed multiple games, including a dungeon crawler, fighting game, and a mobile game. Currently they putting the finishing touches on our mobile game, "Winging It!"

In his free time Peter likes to play fighting games like Super Smash Bros., go camping, look at memes with my wife, spend time with friends, and create games.
