Dr. Jessie Huebner

Dr. Jessie Huebner has been an adjunct professor in the Mental Health Counseling program at BVU since 2022. Dr. Huebner earned a PhD in Counselor Education and Supervision in 2022 from Northern Illinois University and a master’s degree in Social Work in 2010 from University of Illinois at Chicago. Dr. Huebner is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Sex Offender Treatment Provider (LSOTP), and Licensed Sex Offender Evaluator (LSOE) in Illinois. Dr. Huebner’s full-time role is as a Clinical Supervisor for a program that completes clinical assessments for families involved in child welfare. Dr. Huebner’s clinical and research interests include unique client populations (e.g., sexual offenders, athletes, adolescents), vicarious trauma, and family belief systems. Dr. Huebner enjoys incorporating her current and past experience working in the field for over 15 years to offer real-life examples to students to support the material offered in the text and other resources. Dr. Huebner is a single parent to a 12-year-old daughter and has been a foster parent since 2022 with eight children having come through their home so far. Dr. Huebner loves enjoying her free time doing crafts, especially crochet.
