Dr. Bubash’s scholarship encompasses medieval and early modern British literature, with a particular emphasis on early modern drama. Her research considers the ways in which prominent literary works were both influenced and informed by contemporary medical discourses, especially notions of melancholia, disability, and contagion. Dr. Bubash regularly presents her research at national and international conferences; her current project examines gamification as a method of engaging students of Shakespeare.
