Quiet Hours: Regular residence hall Quiet Hours are in effect:

•    Sunday - Thursday 11 p.m.-10 a.m.
•    Friday and Saturday 12 a.m.-10 a.m.

During quiet hours, noise should not extend past approximately two (2) doors down from the resident’s room. Upon reasonable request of either a student or staff member, residents are expected to turn down the volume on televisions, stereos, radios, or other music playing devices, and to refrain from loud talking, screaming, or other disruptive noise.

Each semester for final exams, Finals Week Quiet Hours begin the evening of the first exam day and remain in effect for the remainder of the semester until residence halls close for break. During this time, residents are expected to consider all hours during the day, with the exception of Relaxed Quiet Hours, intensive quiet hours to allow residents the time and space to study appropriately.

Relaxed Quiet Hours: During Finals Week Quiet Hours, will be every day during the finals week each semester and will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. During this time, residents are still expected to respect quiet hours, but are able to turn volumes up on devices and be reasonably louder. Courtesy Hours are still in effect during these times.

Courtesy Hours: Students are expected to respect the rights of other students to be able to sleep and study in their residence hall room. Excessive noise or rude and/or disorderly conduct is unacceptable at any time. If a student is reasonably requested to be quiet by a student or a staff member, even if it is not quiet hours, they are expected to cooperate and comply with the request.
