The Concert Band, under the direction of Jerry Bertrand, will open their portion of the afternoon program with "Steel" by Randall D. Standridge. In keeping with the spirit of the 125th celebration of BVU, the concert band will perform "Alma Mater 2K4" composed by Staff Sgt. Ryan Rager, U.S. Air Force. Rager is a 2007 graduate of BVU with a bachelor's degree in music education. Concluding their portion of the program will be a performance of "Flying With The Colors" and the "Buena Vista Fight Song." Both were composed by W. B. Green, Director of Bands at BVU 1950-1975. Several BVU alumni band members will join the Concert Band for this performance.

The Concert Choir, under the direction of Dr. Merrin Guice-Mendel, will open with the "Kyrie and Gloria" from "Mass in G" by Franz Schubert. Additional works include: "Armistice 1918" by Craig Carnahan, "At The Round Earth's Imagined Corners" by Williametta Spencer and "Mae-e" by Kentaro Sato.

The Concert Choir is celebrating their 87th year of music, while the Concert Band is celebrating their 92nd.
