About Interlibrary Loan
Interlibrary Loan can be used by students, faculty, and staff of BVU as well as other BVU Library cardholders to request materials and articles which are available in other libraries.
Signing in to Interlibrary Loan
The first time you sign in, you will see a screen with the following options:
Once you choose an option, you will be directed to a sign-in screen:
BVU Students/Faculty/Staff
You should select this option if you are a(n):
- BVU Storm Lake campus student
- Online or Graduate student
- BVU faculty member
- BVU staff member
- Online or Graduate faculty & staff member
Use your BVU credentials to log in after choosing this option.
Community Guests
You should select this option if you are a(n):
- Community Guest cardholder
- ICCC student/faculty member
Your username is your BVU Community Guest Card barcode.
Your password can be set/reset using the "Set/reset password" button.

Requesting Items through Interlibrary Loan
You can request items through Interlibrary Loan in two ways.
ILL from a WorldCat Discovery Search
- Perform a search for an item in WorldCat Discovery.
- Click on a search result that you wish to request.
- Click the "Request an Interlibrary Loan" button within the item's detail record.
ILL Using the Create Request Button
If you know the citation information of the item(s) you wish to request, you can use the "Create Request" button in the Requests tab in your user profile.
