During January Interim, BVU students and faculty will visit European castles, museums and landmarks. After leaving Amsterdam, the trip will continue to cities in Germany, Italy, France and England.

BVU has announced that Suzette Radke has been selected as vice president for finance and administration and will assume her new role July 1, 2016. Her career at BVU spans 25 years, including roles as an accountant, accounting manager and controller.

At the Christmas Dinner, faculty and staff serve students a holiday meal. We attached a camera to the tray of one faculty member as he brought food to hungry BVU students.

BVU media students and organization were recognized at the College Media Association Organizational Pinnacle Awards. The awards honor college media organizations and individual work from colleges and universities across the nation.

Brightly-lit trees, joyous carols, laughter, and merriment surrounded the 29th Annual All-Campus Christmas Dinner. The holiday feast was enjoyed by more than 700 students and served by 75 faculty and staff.

The Buena Vista University Concert Band, under the direction of Jerry Bertrand, assistant professor of music, will present its annual Holiday concert on Sunday, Dec. 6 at 3 p.m. in Schaller Memorial Chapel on the BVU campus.

Five Buena Vista University band members have been selected to participate in the 22nd Annual Iowa Collegiate Honor Band. The band will perform on Saturday, Nov. 22 in Nevada, Iowa.

Eight students from Buena Vista University recently took a two-day trip to Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minn., to gain a behind-the-scenes look at various types of science and medicine-based professional opportunities.

Buena Vista University Theatre is presenting the Noël Coward comedy Nov. 4-7 in Anderson Auditorium. In the play, Charles Condomine is literally haunted by the ghost of his very clever and insistent late wife, Elvira.

Buena Vista grad Merle (Garton) Phillips SL'30 was back on campus to observe her 85th class milestone. After her visit, she left a letter for current BVU students.

The Buena Vista University National Alumni Association honored individuals and couples for their service to the University and to their communities at a special luncheon and at half-time of the Homecoming game on Oct. 10.
