Four professors have been selected as finalists for BVU's 2016 George Wythe Award for Excellence in Teaching. The winner will be announced at the Faculty and Staff Recognition Dinner on May 20.

BVU's Global Fellows spent their January near the southernmost city in the world, Puerto Williams, Chile. They explored the area's glaciers, mountains and forests, learning to see the world through the eyes of others.

Harry Potter has become a cultural icon since the first novel was published back in 1997. Katie Frick's Interim Class, What Harry Taught Me, explores several different topics in relation to the Harry Potter phenomenon including racism, religion, social activism and depression.

This January, Hanna Zinn has served as an intern in the Iowa State Senate. She has been behind the scenes of the legislative session, taking on different tasks in the Capitol building.

Spanish students and those interested in the country's culture traveled to Spain in January for a Spanish immersion experience. During the trip, students stayed with families in the region who provided lodging, food, and a glimpse into their daily lives.
