Garret Thompson serves as a Community Relationship Specialist/Academic Advisor with Buena Vista University's Online Programs. He earned both his Bachelor of Science in Honoribus (2022) and Master of Science in Education (2023) from Northern State University. He is currently pursuing a Doctor of Education in Leadership and Innovation from Midland University, with an expected completion in 2027.

Garret’s professional interests include academic affairs and student success. He is committed to supporting students through a research-informed, student-centered advising approach.

Outside of his professional work, Garret enjoys spending time with his wife, Kaitlyn, and their daughter, Paisley. Together, they love going on trips and spending time outdoors.
