Dr. Kathleen Ruscitto is a Counselor Educator and a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with over a decade of professional experience.  She has a strong grounding in humanistic perspectives that upholds the potential of each individual’s unique path to grow and move forward. Dr. Ruscitto strives to facilitate this growth in both students and clients by providing environments in which meaningful, self-directed learning can flourish.

Dr. Ruscitto’s research interests include recovery and wellness practices for mental health and substance use disorders, intersectional topics, and supervision. Dr. Ruscitto advocates at the individual and community levels for best practices that support and improve behavioral health care. She is an active member of counseling organizations including the American Counseling Association (ACA), Association for Counselor Education and Supervision (ACES), and the Association for Humanistic Counseling (AHC).
