Dr. Jones worked as a writer and editor for regional media outlets and the U.S. Army before obtaining his Ph.D. in Finance. His research interests are a natural extension of his previous career, focusing on how the release and spread of information affects asset prices, risk assessment, and corporate decision-making. He remains an avid consumer of local, national, and international news and works diligently to connect financial fundamentals with the current events affecting markets and businesses so students can see that what they are learning has impacts far beyond the classroom.
