Over 40 Buena Vista University students, faculty, staff and members of the Storm Lake community participated in the third-annual Iron Beaver Challenge during the month of February.

Four professors, including two alumni, have been selected as finalists for BVU's 2014 George Wythe Award for Excellence in Teaching. The winner will be announced at the Faculty and Staff Recognition Dinner on May 23.

BVU has signed an agreement with University of Iowa College of Law to coordinate their programs, allowing BVU undergraduates to apply for admission to Iowa Law's Juris Doctor Program and earn their bachelor's and law degrees in six years.

Members of BVU's Class of 2013 are off to a great start, according to statistics from the annual survey by the Office of Career Services. Ninety-seven percent of them had found employment or were enrolled in graduate or professional school within six months of graduation.
