When high expectations among professors met small class sizes at BVU, the sky literally became the limit for Jessica Warneke. Since graduating from BVU in 2009, this U.S. Army flight surgeon has cared for soldiers in assignments in Alaska, Hawaii, Florida and Alabama.

Dr. Bill Feis transcribed 108 rare, handwritten letters from Civil War soldiers, handed down and preserved for three generations. These letters offer sketches of battlefields and unique look into the historic conflict.

Wava Jarr spent spring break working with Outreach 360, a program in the Dominican Republic. She joined 11 BVU representatives on the island in the Caribbean Sea as part of the University’s traditional Alternative Week of Offsite Learning.

The business and accounting major was one of 10 ROTC members in Iowa to receive the Governor’s Cup ROTC Award for outstanding achievement. He followed his father's footsteps in military service.

Four Buena Vista University seniors will say their goodbye to the theatre department with their involvement in “Monty Python’s Spamalot" on the stage of Schaller Memorial Chapel.

Thirty-six student works were cited for excellence in efforts ranging from radio to TV to feature writing, podcasts, politics and more. BVU students earned the most points in 2018 and will receive a first-place plaque in the fall convention in Atlanta.

The custom tricycle, stocked with up to 300 children’s books, will visit parks and playground locations across the community in the spring and fall seasons. Each stop will include personalized interaction, reading aloud, and the opportunity for children to select a book to take home.

At the event, agriculture industry professionals shared their expertise on campus. High school students participated in hands-on learning opportunities during breakout sessions in animal science, soil health, ag business, and more.
