Paying Your BVU Tuition
Buena Vista University bills tuition one semester at a time. Students can view their current balance, account activity, statements, and payment options through the Billing section of BeaverNet.
Student account balances must be paid in full or approved payment arrangements must be in place:
- Storm Lake students: Before arriving on campus for the semester
- Online and graduate students: Before the first day of class
Payment arrangements may include a monthly payment plan, outside loans or scholarships, College Savings Plan funds, or other approved options.
Ways to Pay Your BVU Bill
Choose the payment method that works best for you.
Pay Online Through BeaverNet
Log in to BeaverNet and select Billing to:
- View your current balance and account transactions
- Make a payment by credit card, debit card, or bank account
- Enroll in a monthly payment plan
- View and download account statements
- Access your annual 1098-T tax statement after January 31
Processing fees may apply to certain payment methods.
Pay Online Without BeaverNet
Parents, family members, employers, former students, and others without BeaverNet access can make a payment toward a student account online. Payments are applied to the student account the next business day. Processing fees may apply.
Pay by Mail
Send a check or money order to:

Include the student's name and BVU ID number with the payment. Outside scholarship checks may also be mailed to this address.
Pay by Phone
Call the Business Office at 712-749-2041 to make a payment using a major credit or debit card. Processing fees apply.
Pay in Person
Payments by check, money order, or cash may be made at the following BVU locations:
- Storm Lake: Buena Vista University
- Council Bluffs: Iowa Western Community College
- Fort Dodge: Iowa Central Community College
- Mason City: North Iowa Area Community College
- Ottumwa: Indian Hills Community College
- Sioux City: Western Iowa Tech Community College
