Graduate Fees


Some fees apply to all graduate students, while others are specific to certain programs or experiences.

General Graduate Fees

  • Graduation Fee: $150
  • Background Check: $50, when required

Education Program Fees

Student Teaching Fee: $436
Applies to 12 credit hours of student teaching.

Professional School Counseling Fees

  • Clinical Site Supervision Fee: $300
  • Residency Fee: $125 per residency

Clinical Mental Health Counseling Fees

  • Residency Fee: $125 per residency
  • Software Fee: $199
  • CPCE Exam Fee: $150 one-time fee

In addition to tuition and applicable program fees, graduate students should plan for expenses such as books and course materials.

  • Books and course materials: Costs vary by program and course. An estimated cost is $46 per credit hour.
  • Living and personal expenses: Your estimated cost of attendance may include allowances for housing, food, transportation, personal expenses, and computer costs. These estimates vary based on your living situation and are used to help determine your overall financial aid eligibility. These are not charges you pay directly to BVU.
  • Federal student loan fees: Students who borrow federal student loans may have loan origination fees deducted from their loan funds. Actual fees vary based on the type and amount of loan borrowed.
