Buena Vista University is committed to providing an accessible and inclusive educational experience. We work in partnership with students to remove barriers and support full participation in academic and residential life.
In accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act, BVU provides reasonable accommodations to qualified students with disabilities. Accommodations are determined through an individualized, interactive process based on each student's needs.

Disability-Related Grievances
Students who believe they have experienced disability discrimination or have been denied appropriate access to services or accommodations may seek resolution through the University's grievance process.
Students are encouraged to first contact the Director of Disability Services in the Center for Academic Excellence at museld@bvu.edu to discuss concerns related to disability accommodations or access. Students appealing a specific accommodation decision may also follow the appeals process outlined in the applicable policy.
If the concern cannot be resolved, students may use the University's formal Student Grievance Policy.

Individuals also have the right to file a disability discrimination complaint with the U.S. Department of Education's Office for Civil Rights.
