NYAJUOK LAM, Class of 2019

Nyajuok knew she wanted to work with kids with autism, but she did not know what it would look like. When Professor of Experimental Psychology Wind Goodfriend helped connect her to an internship through Florida National University, she jumped at the opportunity. While there, Nyajuok helped kids with several learning challenges figure out how to stay on task and learn management skills. Through this internship, Nyajuok learned she can provide help to kids with autism and ADHD. Nyajuok was happy to see the difference she could make in students’ lives who might normally be known as “trouble-makers.”
