Buena Vista University will hold its annual Student Recognition Dinner on Saturday, April 25 to honor students for outstanding accomplishments in academics and leadership. The Student Recognition Dinner is one of the signature events that marks the completion of another school year with a celebration of the wonderful work our students have done and brings recognition to student leaders in all areas of university life. Several honors will be presented at the event including Student of the Year—which is awarded to one student per major based on faculty recommendation—and Seniors of the Year. BVU student organizations and members of the Student Senate will also be recognized. 

Student Leader of the Year

Nomination forms for BVU Student Leaders of the Year  are now available. Each year BVU seeks to recognize one female and one male leader who has significantly contributed to the quality of life on our campus. These outstanding leaders will be honored at the Student Recognition Dinner April 25, 2015, Nomination are due Friday, February 20, 2015. Nominations can be submitted from faculty, staff, peers, student organizations or self-nominated. 

Parent of the Year

Nomination forms are now available online for Parent(s) of the Year. Each year BVU recognizes outstanding parents. To nominate your parent(s) submit an essay explaining why your parent(s) are BVU’s best. Essays will be judged on creativity, content of story, and quality of composition. Maximum word count: 500 words. Recipient(s) will be honored at the Student Recognition Dinner April 25, 2015. Nominations are due by noon on Friday, February 20, 2015.
