Awards & Stipend Opportunities for Current Students

Many awards, scholarships, and fellowships are available for students while attending Buena Vista University. Work with your academic advisor to apply for any one of these opportunities.

Awards available on campus include the J. Leslie Rollins Fellowship, Vivian and Paul McCorkle Student Leadership Award, the Harry Blackmun Scholarship, the William Cumberland Student Development Award, the William Cumberland Research Award, and the Wendy C. Waugaman Women and Leadership Development Award.

The BVU scholarship recipients are acknowledged at the Student Recognition Dinner every Spring. 

There are also awards, scholarships, and fellowships available in national competitions, including the Marshall Scholarship, Rhodes Scholarship, Fulbright Fellowships, Harry S. Truman Scholarship, Davies-Jackson Scholarship, Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship, Barry M. Goldwater Scholarship, National Institute of Health Undergraduate Scholarship, and the Collegiate Inventors Competition Institute.
