Timothy Shepherd

Professor Shepherd joined the faculty at Buena Vista University in 2019 as an instructor of Exercise Science. He completed his undergraduate work at Central College in Health and Exercise Science with a minor in Mathematics. His graduate work was completed at Western Illinois University with a Master of Science degree in Kinesiology primarily focusing on Exercise Physiology and Human Movement Performance.
During this time at Western Illinois University, he worked in a cardiac rehabilitation program helping to administer cardiac stress tests and to prescribe exercise prescriptions for cardiovascular disease patients. His thesis compared different post-exercise recovery methods.
