Susie Pryor holds undergraduate and graduate degrees in management, business administration and leadership, as well as a Ph.D. in marketing from the University of Nebraska. She has held teaching and leadership roles in a number of midwestern universities as well as the California State University. Her focus has primarily been on building entrepreneurship centers and co-curricular programs. Most recently, she has been engaged with CARES Act grant programs in the State of Kansas, where she continues to serve as Disaster Relief Coordinator for the Kansas Small Business Development Center. 

Dr. Pryor joined the faculty at BVU in 2019, helping develop undergraduate curriculum in entrepreneurship. She became Director of the Master's Program in Organizational Leadership in 2021. Dr. Pryor choice to move from entrepreneurship to leadership education stems from her belief that the next generation of leaders is likely to face some of the fiercest social, economic, cultural and business challenges in modern history, driven in part by the rapid expansion of technology and globalization.

Dr. Pryor's work has been presented nationally and internationally. Journals publishing her work include the Place Branding and Public Diplomacy, The Journal of Consumer Behaviour, International Journal of Nonprofit and Voluntary Sector Marketing, Journal of Personal Selling and Sales Management, Journal of Food Products Marketing, Marketing Management Journal, Keller Center Research, The International Journal of Retailing and Distribution Management, and The Journal of the Kansas Trial Lawyers Association, among others. Dr. Pryor has been interviewed by NPR and The Atlantic.
